Workshop on Graphic Scores

The Sound of Sound
Graphic notation is the representation of music through the use of visual symbols outside the realm of traditional music notation. It evolved in the 1950s, and is often utilised in experimental music, where standard musical notation can be ineffective. During the workshop we will explore some of the most famous graphic scores in the history of Western music. Also, we will experiment in writing and performing graphic scores, as a group.
